Some tips and tricks for our POS, Toast, can be found here. There are a number of great videos available online and we recommend that you search for things or ask us if you have run into any issues or have any questions. The more comfortable you are on the POS, the better your shifts will go.
Front of house
Here are some tips to enhance customer service for waitstaff (which apply to everyone).
All bartenders are expected to be certified alcohol servers. This is a simple process. You can sign up for virtual training and take the exam online. It’s only about $15 and we’ll reimburse you when you pass the exam. Be sure to email us a copy of your certificate (PDF) when you pass. Here’s the link for the course.

Back of House
Food Handler Certification is fairly easy. You can sign up for a virtual training and take the exam online. It’s only about $10 and we’ll reimburse you when you pass the exam. Here’s the link for the course. Be sure to email us a copy of your certificate (PDF) when you pass.
Food Manager Certification is the next step up and chefs at the manager level should consider getting certified as Food Managers rather than as Food Handlers. You can similarly sign up for a virtual training and take a proctored exam online. Note that the class is more involved and the exam takes more time to complete. The course/exam costs about $130 and we’ll reimburse you when you pass the exam. Here’s the link for the course.
